It was some time in the mid 90's that I discovered the brand Moots. I was just getting into mountain biking and when I asked my local shop what the be all and end all in bicycle brands were I got two answers. I.F. and Moots. At the time moots really intrigued me, mainly by the quality of the welds and attention to detail. Another thing that totally blew my mind was the price tag... $3000 for a frame, at the time it might as well have been $100g it seemed so out of reach and so unattainable, then again when your 17 pretty much everything is. So more than a decade has passed since I've learned of the brand and they still hold top honours in my own opinion, so much so that I actually own one. I've had my Moots 29'er for the past year and I am still taken aback every time I pull the bike out or catch a glance at It when I'm in the basement. It's builders like Moots, IF and Seven that inspire dreams. You can always ride a Specialized or a Cervelo and it will be a "good" bike, but do you really want a "good" bike? Stray from the masses and get yourself an iconic bike, if you don't know what I mean your probably not ready.
